Early-mid C19. No 16 is the original house, of 2 storeys and sunk basement,
3 windows. Red brick. Low pitched, hipped slate roof has deep eaves soffit
with paired brackets. Side windows in full height raised brick panels. Gauged
flat brick arches to sash windows with glazing bars. 2 stone steps to door of
6 fielded panels, with patterned fanlight, in Corinthian doorcase with enriched
frieze, cornice and pediment. No 18 is a 3-bay addition in exactly similar style
built at a slightly later date and now holding a modern shop front on ground
floor.

Nos 8 to 18 (even) form a group.
