Circa 1780. 2 parallel ranges with the main front facing West. 2 storeys, attic
and semi-basement. 4 windows, 4 dormers. Red brick. Painted stringcourse. Modillion
cornice and parapet. The 2 centre window bays project slightly with a pediment
over containing a Coade-ware plaque of a woman's profile in the tympanum and
swag flanking it. Each range has a mansard slate roof. Glazing bars intact.
Round-headed windows on ground floor. The dormers have casement windows with
small square panes. The south front has 4 window spaces on each floor, but most
of them are dummies. 2 half-gables between the chimney stacks. Doorway approached
by 4 wide, curving steps with handrail. Small porch at the head of these with
enriched frieze and pediment, semi-circular fanlight and door of 6 fielded panels.
The east front has 4 windows, 3 dormers only and some additions to the lower storeys.

No 20, No 22 (Browne's Lodge) and the Garden Walls to east of No 22 (Browne's Lodge)
form a group.
