GV II

House. c1800 with later additions and alterations. Sandstone
ashlar ground floor with painted brick first floor in Flemish
bond with plain tile and Welsh slate roofs.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows with attics to
gables and 2-storey entrance bay set back to left, outshut to
right and range to rear.
First floor: two 6/6 sashes in plain reveals, with sills and
flat arches with raised keystones; to left recess a multi-pane
casement with elliptical arch.
Ground floor, 2 rectangular bays, the centres 12/18 sashes
with 10-pane fixed-lights to sides, fluted pilasters between,
frieze, cornice, hipped roofs and sills.
Entrance to left recess a part-glazed door with overlight,
pedimented hood on consoles. To right outshut an 8/8 sash and
board door with elliptical overlight, wall has stepped gable.
Main range has tall end stacks with cornices. Left gable end
has oval window with glazing bars, to attics (right and left)
pair of 6/6 sliding sashes, with fanlights.
INTERIOR: exposed beams to most ceilings.
