GV II

House. Mid C18 with c1830 alterations. Brick with stucco front
and ashlar dressings; hipped renewed tile roof with 2 brick
stacks to returns. Georgian style Central staircase plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Rusticated
quoin strips, top frieze and cornice. Entrance has architrave
with key block, inset segmental fanlight with decorative
glazing bars over 6-fielded-panel door; later Tuscan porch.
Windows have sills, and 2/2 sashes. Right return has exposed
brick in Flemish stretcher bond. Rear has gables with end
stacks; C19 2-storey brick wing with large lateral stack and
slate roof, taller C20 flat-roofed addition.
