Milestone. Circa early C19. Small stone with segmentally arched head. Set into its front is a cast-iron plate with a nowy head, inscribed: 1 MILE to TAUNTON, in upper and lower case lettering with cerifs. The turnpike from Taunton to Blagdon Hill dates from 1752.
