Saints

GV II

Walls and railings with gates and piers to west and south
boundaries of All Saints' Churchyard. 1865-8. Architect: John
Middleton. L-plan. Stone walls with ashlar copings and piers,
iron gates and railings. Low rusticated walls with chamfered
copings extend for approx 40m, interrupted by 2 sets of tall
piers, with chamfered plinths, rectangular shafts and cogged
moulding to cornice surmounted by flattened pyramidal caps.
Walls surmounted by railings with 3 levels of rails with
embellished bars and dogbars and foliate arched 'braces'. 2
pairs of double gates have similar motifs. Similar walls
surmounted by railings return to All Saints' Villas Road for
approx 40m with 2 pedestrian gates with iron hinge posts.
A significant streetscape feature, forming part of the setting
