Terrace of 6 houses, now 7 dwellings. c1840-50 for the Webb
family, that to left for their own occupation. Ashlar facades
and slate roofs with brick stacks and iron balconies.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 13 first-floor windows (2 per house,
except No.60 has 3 windows), with service ranges to rear.
House at left is wider (now 2 dwellings). Alternate entrance
bays are narrower and recessed. Stucco decoration includes
horizontal rustication to ground floor; wide first-floor band;
crowning frieze and cornice. Windows: narrow bays have 6/6
sashes to first floor, otherwise tripartite windows: 6/6
between 2/2 sashes (except that to left has 2/2
horizontal-pane between 2/2 sashes); all in plain reveals and
with sills, those to ground floor have feet; first-floor
windows have aprons. Entrances to narrower bays have mainly
4-panel double doors with overlights with glazing bars; except
that to left has architrave with Doric pilasters, frieze and
cornice, entrances within a part-glazed door with
margin-lights and panelled door. Right return has 2
first-floor windows, blind bay then 8/8 sash. Service ranges
have 6/6 sashes.
INTERIOR: noted as retaining original plasterwork and joinery
including panelled shutters to windows. Marble fireplaces.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: first-floor balconies to tripartite
windows have honeycomb motif with anthemion acroteria.
HISTORICAL NOTE: shown as laid out in 1845 map.
A similar design to Nos 32, 34 and 36, and 72-80 (even),
