2 terraced houses now offices. c1820-50 with extension
c1960-80 at right and rear. Ashlar over brick to right,
stuccoed to left and slate roof, iron window guards.
EXTERIOR: original range: 3 storeys, 9 first-floor windows.
Ground and first floors have 6/6 sashes with French window
above porch in tooled architrave, frieze and cornice; 3rd
floor has 3/3 sashes; all in plain reveals and with sills.
Entrance to left, replacement glazed double doors with
fanlight with decorative glazing in round-arched recess.
Off-centre right entrance has 6-panel door with overlight with
decorative glazing in solid porch with Tuscan pilasters,
frieze, cornice and blocking course. Crowning frieze, cornice
and blocking course. Left return has 2-storey bow with four
6/6 sashes curved on section. Rear retains many 6/6 sashes
including round-arched staircase sash, the other partly
covered by extension. Extension to right has 3 first-floor
windows and is built in keeping.
INTERIOR: includes embellished cornices to ground floor,
staircase at left has stick balusters and wreathed handrail.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: ground-floor window guards have Carron
Company heart-and-anthemion motif.
