2 terraced houses, now offices, shops and flats, and attached
area railings and gates. c1820-50 with later alterations.
Stucco over brick with concealed roof, brick party-wall stacks
and wrought- and iron railings and balconies.
EXTERIOR: 4 storeys on basement, 5 first-floor windows (3:2).
First and second floors have 6/6 sashes, taller to first
floor; third floor and basement have 3/3 sashes; ground floor
has 1/1 sashes. Entrances: steps to central solid porch to
left house (No.1) with Doric pilasters and dentil entablature,
blocking course and copings, with 4-panel double doors and
fanlight; right house has right entrance in wide cambered
arch, steps to 6-panel door (now part-glazed) with fanlight.
Left return: 3 first-floor windows with similar fenestration
and first-floor band.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: twist-head area railings and gates with
embellished urns to stanchions.
Left return faces Cambray Place, and forms a continuous
architectural unit with Nos 30, 31 & 32 Cambray Place (qv).
