Villa. c1820-34, shown on Merrett's Map of 1834 but not on the
Post Office Map of 1820. Brick with stucco facades and slate
roof, cast- and wrought-iron balcony.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Centre breaks
forward slightly; frieze, cornice, blocking course; central
rear stack. Ground floor: 2 outer doorways with fanlights,
that to right now part-blocked with casement window, that to
left are 6-fielded-panel double doors. Central tripartite
window, 6/6 between 2/2 sash, which is set back under
first-floor balcony. First floor: central tripartite window:
6/6 between 2/2 sashes; outer 6/6 sashes. Second floor: two
6/6 sashes, blind window. Crowning frieze, cornice and
blocking course. Basement has 6/6 between 2/2 sashes. All
windows in plain reveals.
INTERIOR: retains original joinery including panelled
shutters, otherwise not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: first-floor verandah has balustrade with
curved quarterings in square design in use c1820 and double
scrolls to uprights.
