House and attached area railings. c1820-50. Stucco over brick
with concealed roof, rear stacks and iron porch, balcony and
railings.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys at left, 3 first-floor windows with
2-storey on basement, single bay to right. Continuous
first-floor sill band. Left bay has blind openings, then 6/6
and 1/1 horned sashes. Off-centre right entrance, steps to
6-panel door with overlight. Basement has casement windows.
Garden facade (right return): 2 storeys on basement, 2
first-floor windows. Left end and centre Doric pilasters, the
capitals of which are incorporated into continuous frieze and
cornice. 1/1 sashes, that to ground floor at left in wider,
segmental-arched recess. Rear retains 6/6 sashes. All windows
in plain reveals and with sills (except at first-floor a sill
band).
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: porch has scrolled lozenge motif to
uprights with embellished openwork frieze and tent roof. Area
railings at garden facade have Carron Company
double-heart-and-anthemion motif. Individual balcony to
first-floor, off-centre right, has scroll motif.
