Poolkeeper's Lodge

GV II

Lodge. 1871. Architect WH Knight. Flemish bond yellow brick
with red brick bands and gabled slate roof with decorative
terracotta ridge tiles, tall gault brick central stack with
cornice. L-plan.
EXTERIOR: 2-storeys, each gabled range of one first-floor
window. Stone lintels, with cornices to ground floor, over 1/1
sashes in pairs. Plain reveals and sills. Panelled door.
Decorative barge boards to gable ends.
INTERIOR: mot inspected.
For its size the Lodge is richer than the Pool (qv) in
architectural detail and it has survived in an unaltered
state. Groups with and forms an integral part of the setting
for Former Cheltenham College Swimming Baths (qv).
