Pair of houses and attached railings. Numbered right to left,
described left to right. c1820-34, shown on Merrett's 1834 map
and not on the Post Office Map of 1820. Stucco over brick with
slate roof and 4 renewed end brick stacks; iron balconies.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys on basements, 4 first-floor windows (2:2).
First- and second-floor bands; crowning frieze and cornice
with blocking course. Ground floor has tripartite 1/1 sashes;
first floor has tall 1/1 sashes; second floor has 6/6 and 3/3
sashes; all in plain reveals and with sills. Basements have
8/8 sashes. Pair of central entrances: steps to 6-panel doors
(that to right with fielded panels) with lattice frieze and
overlights with batwing and circle glazing bars.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: first-floor window guards have web motif.
Area railings have X-motif.
