Terrace of 6 houses, now shops and offices, and attached area
railings to No.6. c1820-34 (shown on Merrett's Map) with later
additions and alterations including shop fronts c1870s and
c1980s. Stucco over brick with concealed roof and brick
party-wall stacks.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 18 first-floor windows, 3 per house.
Stucco detailing includes first- and second-floor bands. 6/6
sashes where original, some central blind windows to second
floor; all in plain reveals and with sills. Entrances: central
to No.1, otherwise to left: steps to 6-fielded-panel doors
with fanlights, that to left with Gothic glazing, otherwise
with batwing and circle motif. Shop fronts: Nos 1 and 2 (at
left) have each two 2-light windows with shaped mullion and
round-arched openings, dentil frieze. Nos 3, 4 and 5 have
plate-glass windows, that to No.5 with pilasters, frieze and
cornice; No.6 has 1/1 sashes. Low parapet and copings.
INTERIOR: noted as retaining original plasterwork, otherwise
not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: arrowhead area railings to No.6.
