2 houses. c1820. Painted brick with stucco to rear, slate
mansard roof and iron porch and window box.
EXTERIOR: cottage to left has 2 storeys with attics, 3
first-floor windows, house to right has 3 storeys with attic,
2 bays (1:3), bay to right is full-height and canted. Mainly
6/6 sashes, bay has 6/6 between 4/4 sashes; 3/3 sashes to
second floor, bay has 3/3 between 2/2 sashes; windows to first
floor at right have flat arches of rubbed brick; windows are
flush and have sills. Attics have round-arched windows.
Left house has central entrance a 6-panel door with fanlight;
right house has left entrance a 6-panel door, part-glazed,
with overlight in fluted surround. Low parapet with copings,
copings to gable end. Ridge stack. Rear retains 6/6 sashes.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: tent-roofed porch at right has scrolled
uprights and openwork frieze; window box to first floor bay
has X-motif.
