Villa, now flats. 1860s with conversion c1980s. Stucco over
brick with ashlar dressings and plain tile roof; ridge, rear
and right side stucco stacks with cornices. Gothic style.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on tall basement and with attics to
gables, 3 bays with first-floor windows arranged 2:1:1. Outer
bays break forward and are gabled. Ashlar detailing includes
quoins to angles and window surrounds, with dripmoulds to
windows. Mainly 2-light mullion and transom windows, with
3-light to ground floor at right, with arched upper lights
with hoodmoulds. Single attic light to right gable. Central
projecting, gabled porch has flight of steps with arcaded
balustrade to 4-panel, part-glazed door with side-lights;
glazed to sides. Decorative barge-boards to gable ends. Garden
facade has 2-storey canted bay window through basement and
ground floor with 1:3:1 mullion and transom windows.
INTERIOR: retains original plasterwork and joinery including
8-panel doors and moulded cornices.
