Villa and attached railings. c1820-50. Stucco over brick with
hipped slate roof and brick ridge and end stacks; iron
railings.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basement 5 first-floor windows. Stucco
detailing includes first-floor band and tooled architraves to
windows. 6/6 sashes, taller to ground floor and 3/6 to
basement, all in plain reveals and with sills. Central
entrance, flight of roll-edged steps to 6-fielded-panel door
with sidelights and fanlight with batwing and circle glazing
bars, within distyle Roman Doric porch with wreaths to
entablature.
Rear retains 6/6 and 8/8 sashes, off-centre left round-arched
staircase window with round-arched glazing to head and 6/6
between 2/2 sash with elliptically-arched recess to head.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: area railings have diamond motif; stick
balusters and wreathed handrail to sides of steps.
Occupies a prominent position.
