Main entrance to Thirlestaine Hall

GV II

Pair of drive piers and gates, low quadrant walls with
railings. c1855-1909. Vermiculated ashlar piers, square on
plan approx 2m high, with stone rubble coped walls,
surmounting iron railings with scroll brackets, and gates with
bars and dogbars.
A significant streetscape feature, forming part of the setting
for Thirlestaine Hall (qv); also groups with West Entrance to
Thirlestaine Hall (qv) and Boundary wall with corner piers and
gates to Thirlestaine Hall (qv), Thirlestaine Road.
