House now office. Mid C18, with C19 alterations. Red brick,
lined render, pantile roof with coped gables, 2 brick gable
stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attics, 5-bay front with 1st floor
band. Central 6-panel door with overlight, moulded surround
with roundels and small hood, flanked by 2 margin light
sashes. To first floor 5 similar windows. All windows have
brick segmental heads. In the roof 3 eaves dormers with
divided sashes and leaded segmental tops.
INTERIOR: retains turned baluster staircase, decorative
plaster ceiling to ground floor room, full height panelled
cupboards and overmantle to front first floor rooms.
HISTORY: built on the site of Irby House, home of Sir Anthony
Irby, said to have been demolished c1770.
