Public house. C18, altered early C19. Render, pantile roof,
brick coped gables.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attics, 3-bay front, moulded wooden
eaves cornice. Off-centre, 6-panelled door with bordered
overlight set in fluted doorcase with roundels to the angles,
cornice with keystone decorated with fruit and flowers. To
left a pair and to right a single glazing bar sash. To 1st
floor 3 tripartite glazing bar sashes. In the roof a small
leaded dormer.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORY: a plaque records the site of John Foxe's birthplace.
