Gates and railings. 1723. Wrought-iron with stone plinth. Central
double, cambered-arched gates with bars and dogbars between open
piers with scrolling embellishments and ornate caps, ornate,
scrolled overthrow. Railings extend for approximately 10 metres
to right and left and incorporate pedestrian gates to either end,
stanchions surmounted by orb finials. Abuts wings of Guildhall
(qv). significant streetscape feature, forming an integral part
of the setting for the Guildhall (qv).
