Shop with accommodation over. c1795, altered 1875. Probably by John Palmer.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, with Welsh slate roof.
PLAN: Double-depth plan with rear extension.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, attic and cellar, two windows wide. Ground floor has 1875 shopfront, with arched window heads and continuous fascia at first floor sill level. six-panel door to through entry to right with grille over. Windows are six over six sashes of late C18 type in plain openings. Parapet, mansard roof with two small paned dormers, ashlar stacks with pots.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
HISTORY: A less prominent part of the 1790s rebuilding of the western end of Abbey Churchyard, this house seems to have been built separately from Nos.6-9 (qv), having differing floor heights, but is probably nearly contemporary and thus part of the remodelling of the city at its height.
