Pair of houses, now shops. Mid to late C18 with C19 additions, C20 attic.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, flat roof.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys and attic, seven windows, all twelve-pane sash in splayed surrounds, and with moulded architrave at first floor. Ground floor has late C19 shopfronts with transom lights, and recessed door to No.37. Channelled ground floor pilasters and centre, stone cornice; central six-panel door and deep transom light, with large keystone. Thin platband above first floor, modillion cornice and pulvinated frieze, attic set back from parapet, with slab roof. Some shrapnel marks in masonry. Rear, in rubble, includes some good early glazing-bar sashes.
INTERIOR: Not inspected. Property continues the line of the north side of Kingsmead Square, and is all that remains on this side from terrace mainly destroyed by bombing in 1942.
