GV II

Block of three cottages. Mid C19 with C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Coursed rubble, some ashlar, double Roman or pantile roofs.
PLAN: Nos 1 and 3 are back-to-back, with No.2 across south end, and group attached, right, to rear of Mannings Works (qv).
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, one+two windows, all four pane sash to heavy square sills, and small oculus over six panel door central to No.1, further door with side-lights, extreme right, possibly to throughway. No.2 entered on left return, double gabled, with four pane sash at each level, and small C20 flat roofed extension to rear. No.3, facing west, ashlar faced, with pantile roof, and has four pane sashes, with central door to lead tent hood. Two gable stacks.
INTERIORS: Not inspected. Very modest group, but representative of the artisan character of the area, supporting the quarrying industry.
