Public house. Early C19, with early C20 public house front.
MATERIALS: Painted limestone ashlar, slate roof hipped to front.
PLAN: Double depth plan with late C19 single storey front projection.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, symmetrical three-window range. Coped parapet and first floor platband and C20 windows to first floor, narrower at centre. Ground floor public house front has parapet, cornice and leaded lights to half-glazed double doors to centre, ends and two large windows between. Right return in Hanover Street has three windows and basement lights.
INTERIOR: Opened out; no original features remain.
The Britannia Inn appears in the Bath Directory in 1809.
