Wall and mile plate. 1862. By CE Davis. Rock faced squared Pennant stone rubble with ashlar coping and piers. Dwarf wall punctuated by piers which go from square to octagonal. Half way along each panel lesser pier projecting from top of wall. Iron railings once in these panels removed in WWII. Pier at west end of wall has cast iron mile plate fixed to base. Inscription: `1 Mile from the Guildhall BATH'. The full name of this cemetery is Lyncombe & Widcombe and St James's Cemetery.
