Row of small houses. Early to mid C19 with C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, pantile or double Roman tile roofs.
PLAN: Row set at right angles to Byfield Buildings (qv), and lower than these, backing to step in former quarry wall.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys. Nos 1 and 2 have one twelve pane and two plain sashes above twelve pane and plain, with wide plank doors to far left and right, ground floor window and door-head to No.2 at lower level than No.1. No.4 has two four pane sashes above C20 lean-to porch and door and four pane. Square ridge stack shared with No.5, with double Roman tile, and replacement windows, and porch with solid cheeks and slab hood. Gables and party divisions are coped.
INTERIORS: Not inspected.
