House. c1770-1775 with C19 and C20 alterations. Possibly developed by Mark Spencer.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar to front, rubble to basement, rubble to rear, double pile parapeted mansard roof, Welsh Slate to front, pantile to rear, with coped gable wall to right with two ashlar stacks now with one early clay pot. Staircase to front.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, attic and basement, three-window range. First floor has three plate glass horned sashes in splayed reveals with lowered stone sills, second floor has three similar sashes in splayed reveals with stone sills. Ground floor has two similar sashes to right, to left six-panel door with flush beaded, fielded and glazed panels with cast iron lion's mask knocker in beaded reveal with two steps to Pennant paved crossover, with cast iron footscraper. Basement has two six/six sashes in splayed reveals with stone sills, C20 door with overlight under crossover, concrete area steps. Double dormer has plate glass sash to left, six/six sash to right. Band course over ground floor with attached wrought iron balcony with iron slatted deck on wrought iron brackets; modillion cornice and coped parapet. Lead hopperhead at eaves to left. Rear elevation, partially visible, has three grouped plate glass sashes, narrower to left and right, to second floor; plate glass sashes to dormers.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Attached wrought iron railings and gate with arrow heads on concrete-coated bases.
