Detached house. c1840.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, shallow pitched slate roof with paired brackets to wide eaves and moulded stacks to the left.
PLAN: Double depth.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys and basement, single window range. Returned moulded sill string courses to upper floors and six/six-pane sash windows. First floor has balconette and flanked by narrow paired fluted pilasters and consoles supporting cornice. Three-panel door in plain opening to left has overlight and diagonally set square panel to top over two bead edged lower panels. Right return steps out to right creating inverted angle at right hand quoin
Gable wall was rebuilt 1980¿s.
INTERIOR: Recorded by Bath Preservation Trust in 1988. Victorian sash windows have replaced the originals. Staircase has turned wooden rails and a handrail thought to be fruitwood. Several fireplaces and original features have been removed. Stencilled cornices on first floor in a 1983 photo from Bath Council. Stone staircase with wooden balusters. First floor front room has flower guard with diagonal trellising interspersed with lead stars. Basement has flagstone floor and Tudor arch over range.
