Pair of houses. Mid C19 with C20 additions.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, painted to ground floor, concrete tile (No.41) and double Roman tile (No.43).
PLAN: Semi-detached pair, at bottom end of long row of houses to Lyncombe Hill on this side, and set across steep falling site, giving extra storey to rear.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, attic and lower ground floor, three+two windows, all plain sashes in splayed reveals, but with blind light to ground floor, left, No.41. Each has basement window, and central six-panel door with painted in transom light to segmental head with keystone, and shallow double recess. Mid platband, deep cornice, blocking course and parapet. Roof is hipped to left, with coped gables centre and right, with large square central ashlar stack. Right return has C20 attic sash, and left has two above one arched lights. Rear, in ashlar, includes deep lower ground floor, and No.41 has canted plain sash bay, there are various sashes, some with flower guards, and C20 French door. There are two platbands, cornice, blocking course and parapet.
