GV II

Boundary walls with railings, gatepiers and urns. c1760 restored late C20. Ashlar, cast and wrought iron. Opposite entrance to hotel (qv) tall pair of plain ashlar piers to moulded bases, and with moulded cappings carrying large urns with gadrooned lower half, no gates remain. To each side length of ashlar wall, with horizontal rounded coping, stepped and dying to pavement level, carrying iron railings alternately hooped and straight. At left end plain ashlar wall returns at flat angle to frontage, with flush piers at each end, and to right railings abut pier to No.86 (qv).
