MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate roofs.
PLAN: Main range, set diagonally across junction of North Road with The Avenue, has low pitched hipped roof, and returns left with low hipped link and service range with lean-to roof, and to right, formerly free standing but now linked by flat roofed unit, is gabled `Old Victoria Rooms'.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, front range has two plain sashes to stooled sills at each level, and central door in four moulded panels, under painted name panel. Plinth and plain eaves band to deep bracketed eaves, ground floor has horizontal channelling, and two external ashlar stacks at each end. Small unit with hipped pantile roof over plain large cut block links to boundary wall approx 3m high, backing lean-to range. The Old Victoria Rooms in two storeys, with three four-pane wide-spaced sashes at first floor on road front. Raised coped gables, each with small square stack. To right flight of stone steps rising to plank door at first floor level, and on garden side are drinking booths under three sashes.
INTERIOR: Completely altered on ground floor level.
HISTORY: The name is taken from the Hadley family, who were owners from 1806 onwards of an estate in this area.
