End terrace house. c1800 with C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, now painted, to front, ashlar and rubble to right side, rear elevation not visible; double pile roof, parapeted to front, covering not visible, higher to rear, hipped to right, pantile and triple Romans, coped gable wall to right with two ashlar stacks.
PLAN: House now at end of terrace following demolition of houses formerly adjoining to right.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys and basement, one-window range. First floor has six/six-horned sash in splayed reveal with stone sill with wrought iron balconette, second floor has similar window. Ground floor has similar window to right without balconette, six-panel door with flush beaded and glazed panels with two slate faced steps in plain reveal. Basement has to right one two-and one six-pane casement in plain reveals with continuous timber lintel. Timber bressumer and stone band course over ground floor, coved eaves cornice and coped parapet. Evidence of probable former shopfront to ground floor, reeded timber pilaster remaining to right. Right side has C20 windows in former party wall with neighbouring house. Rear elevation not visible.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Garden wall attached to right lower part of front wall of former adjoining house with blocked window and door opening.
