Detached terrace house, formerly one of pair. c1770 with C19 and C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, rendered at former party division, slate roof.
PLAN: Large upstanding house with double mansard roof to central valley gutter, left half damaged by bombing and demolished.
EXTERIOR: Three high storeys and attic, two windows, third bay has blind lights, formerly centre of composition. Two small two-light casement dormers, above twelve-pane sashes, but at first floor sashes replaced by C20 lights, all in plain reveals. Ground floor has blind light, early C20 shopfront with very slender mullions, and fine quadrant glass returns to deep recessed central door. To right, outside original fabric, glazed door in deep reveals with good fanlight in moulded archivolt to reeded pilasters with thin capitals, above this deep parapet with coping. Broad platband at first floor sill level, and modillion cornice with blocking course and parapet, coped parapets each end, with to left one deep cropped stack, and lofty ashlar stack to rear left. Right return plain, and rear has two nine-pane sash dormers above twelve-pane sashes.
