Tomb of Samuel Maxwell Hinds (d.1847)
Greek Revival aedicular monument inspired by the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates. Signed by Reeves of Bath. Marble. Fluted columns with lotus and acanthus leaf capitals support a modillion cornice. Inside is a draped urn on a moulded pedestal.
HISTORY: Hinds was sometime Speaker of the House of Assembly, Barbados; he lived at 7 Raby Place. One of the most handsome tombs in the cemetery. Located at section III.G.1.3.
