Description

Late 16th century market cross restored as War Memorial circa 1920. 2-stage stepped square plinth with bronze plaque worded 'RESTORED FOR THE MEN OF THE PARISH WHO FELL IN THE WAR 1914-1919', and surmounted by original stop-chamfered base, inscribed octagonal shaft with thistle-carved band and original cross-head.
