Description

Seafield Mausolea: W H Playfair, 1837 and mirror copy (Mr
R Dow, builder, Dulnain Bridge) 1884. Pair heavy buttressed
Greek cross mausolea, 1 within (1837) and 1 without (1884)
burial ground. Grey granite ashlar; roundheaded recessed
entrance in each face closed by studded metal doors; moulded
cornice encircles base of stepped and crenellated wallhead.
Grant coat of arms incorporated in wallhead of W mausoleum
(within burial ground) but missing on that without (1884).
