Description

1892. One build with Station Hotel. 3 storeys, 4 bays. North

elevation 2 storeys only, advanced gable to street with

asymmetrically placed door and 2 windows. Centre stepped 3

light window 1st floor with hoodmould, small stone balcony

and decorative cast iron balustrade. 4 bay west elevation has

single bipartite at 1st floor; 4 gabled dormerheads one

having bipartite and stone finial. Squared rubble; chamfered architraves, broached and stugged ashlar dressings. Slate

roof. "The Old Kennels"; late 19th century, 1 storey with

attic 3 bay. Centre door to west with loft door over in

gablet. Similar chimney gablet to west. Crowsteps. Rubble,

stugged ashlar dressings. Slate roof.

Statement of Interest

"The Old Kennels" within Avoch Hotel garden which it must

have originally served. Now fenced off and property of Mrs

MacLeman, Burnside, Long Rd. Avoch.
