Description

C H B Quennell, 1912-14. 2-storey, 3-bay W facing gate lodge.
Harled with tooled ashlar dressings and long and short
quoins and margins. Ashlar faced centre bay with centre
ground floor canted bay window flanked left by doorway and
right by window. Single centre front segmental headed
dormer breaks wallhead; similar single dormers with
triangular pediments to gables and rear. 12-pane glazing;
pair corniced ridge stacks; Banffshire slate piended
roof. Unfortunate single storey off-centre rear extension.
Gate piers; square grey bullfaced granite gate piers linked
by short length of low coped wall and railings to similar
terminal piers; pair plain cast-iron carriage gages.
Bridge; driveway carried over Allt Mor by single span
bullfaced granite bridge; bullfaced rubble arch ring flanked
by projecting retaining walls; coped parapets.
