Early 19th century. Single storey, 5-bay, rectangular-plan cottage with later additions and alterations. Tooled, snecked sandstone rubble with broached dressings. Projecting cills; long and short quoins.
N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: asymmetrical; 8-pane window to centre and penultimate bay to right; boarded timber door to penultimate bay to left; windows to bays to outer left and outer right. Single storey pink sandstone addition to right with piended pantiled roof; single window to left; coped pink sandstone wall extending to No 5 Main Street (see separate listing) to right. Harled addition to left with piended slate roof, blank.
S, E and W ELEVATION: not seen 1998.
Predominantly 16-pane and 8-pane timber sash and case windows. Red pantiled roof with slate easing course and terracotta ridge. Tooled, squared and snecked, coped sandstone gablehead stacks with circular cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
BOUNDARY WALL: random pink sandstone rubble wall extending between outer right bay and addition to right with rubble coping
