Description

Early 19th century. Round-arched, single span road bridge over Redside Burn. Yellow sandstone rubble with brick repairs. Convex moulded voussoirs with impost detail; moulded extrados. Coped rubble parapet with dentil moulded base; blank panel to centre of SE elevation; tooled panel reading to NW reading "CARRINGTON BRIDGE". Shallow refuges forming upper section of advanced piers flanking arch. Curved wing walls; battered support to E of SE elevation.
