Statement of Interest

B-Group with the remains of Carmichael House, HBNUM 44568 and Butlers Cottage, HBNUM 717 (see separate listings).

This is a good, well-detailed example of an 18th century estate laundry building that has been altered during the mid 19th century at which time the detached 18th century wings of Carmichael House were linked by a substantial Baronial addition (now partly demolished). The cottage has more recently been internally refurbished as holiday home accomodation.
