Description

Early 19th century. Single storey, symmetrical, rectangular-plan cottage with lean-to at side. Base cousre; projecting eaves. Ashlar.

E MAIN ELEVATION: door at centre, 2-leaf boarded door with toplights, flanking windows; broad, corncied pilaster (engaged pier) abutting onto corner of corner.

6-pane over 2-pane timber sash and case windows; grey slate piended roof, lead flashings; corniced stack at apex.

BOUNDARY WALL AND RAILINGS: rubble with semicircular coping; cast-iron railings.

Statement of Interest

The cottage was the original lodge and main entrance to Cameron House. The gatepiers were removed some years ago. Cameron House and its lodges are listed separately.
