Description

Cullen Lochead & Brown architects. Built 1936. Symmetrically

planned 2-storey house with 3 central bays and clasping angle

turrets, and single storey 3-bay wings. Set on slight slope. Rubble-built with ashlar dressings. Near symmetrical.

Entrance front with central portico of 4 rubble-built piers

supporting balustrade and approached by steps; recessed

door left. Centrally paired windows in 1st floor; all windows

12-pane sashes. Finialed bell cast roofs to turrets. Eaves

course and cornice; corniced end and ridge stacks and piended

slate roof. 3 windows in flanking piend-roofed wings.
