Description

J R McKay (1933). Single storey and attic. Harled.
S ELEVATION: advanced bays at centre with arched ashlar
door surround at left with panelled door and brass
fittings. 2 small windows to right with stair window and
bipartite above. Eaves swept over ground floor windows
of outer bays. Doorway in flat-roofed linking
passage at ground to right with square plan, piend-roofed
garage and adjoining pentice-roofed outbuilding beyond.
N ELEVATION: advanced centre bay with splayed, canted
3-light window to centre, slate-hung between ground and
1st floor windows. Recessed outer bays with tripartite to
left and single light and tripartite to right. Small row of
3 lights to garage at left. Pentice roofed outbuilding.
E AND W ELEVATIONS: flat-roofed, splayed canted bay at
ground with bipartite to E gable. Roof piended and projecting
attic floor windows.
4, 8, 12 or 16-pane glazing pattern to sash and case
windows. Flat-roofed, slate-hung single light dormers
above outer bays. Piended green slate roofs with
overhanging eaves. Harled, battered ridge stacks.
