Description

Late 18th century. Random red rubble sandstone walled
garden, on half trapezoid plan (sited on falling
ground). Walls circa 21' high and ashlar coped. Lean-to
heating chamber at centre to N, flanked by gateways,
blocked to right. Rounded angles to garden walls with
some brick lining. Further gateway at centre to S. Wall
partly demolished at SE corner.

sited on southern slope; former hot houses to N now

removed. Served Hedderwick Hill House (demolished).

Cottage to SE under conservation (1987).
