Description

Rectangular rubble walled burial ground, the walling coped
with turf at W. Pair simple rubble gatepiers at N with modern
cast-iron gates. 17th, 18th, 19th century and subsequent
tombstones.

Statement of Interest

Burial ground encloses site of former Bellie Parish Church,

rebuilt in Fochabers 1795-8. Said to be burying place of Lord

Graham, son of Marquis of Montrose, who died at 'Bogs' in

1645 aged 16.

The modern extension to the burial ground lying to the S is

not included in the listing.
