Description

Early 19th century, cylindrical cote; harl pointed
rubble; red tooled ashlar dressings. Corbelled upper
stage with 4 batteries of small round-headed
flightholes with blocked impost detailing and alighting
ledges, those to NE and NW being blind. Doorway at east;
shallow pyramidal slate roof with centre circular apex
bird entrance.
Interior; lined from floor to ceiling with 216 stone
nesting boxes.

Statement of Interest

Stands on overgrown mound.

Knockoudie (later Craggie) belonged to the Ore family

but passed to the Gordons of Kinsteary.
