Later 18th century, 2-storey and attic over basement, 5-bay
east facing house; mainly harled. Symmetrical front with
slightly advanced centre bay; centre entrance with fine 9
fielded-panel door and almost square fanlight with decorative
radial glazing; oculus in gablet with apex stack. Pair
piended dormers. 2 longer ground floor windows in return
south gable; modern oriel in 1st floor. Centre rear
projecting stairwell with piended roof and long multi-pane
glazed window. 12-pane glazing to main house; coped end
stacks; slate roofs.
Long later single storey and attic wing extends to rear
(west); further later 3-storey white painted corrugated
iron wing at NW.
Interior; simple turned wooden balusters to staircase;
6-panel doors with beaded panelling and moulded architraves;
similarly panelled window shutters. Late 19th century pair
single storey service cottages abut rear wing of main house
and form U-plan court.
Andrew Fraser of Dell, 1762-1814; imposing memorial in Old
Boleskine Burial Ground. Unusual 3-storey corrugated iron
extension. Noted as Dell House, Item 16 on 1971 Statutory
list.
