Description

Early to mid 19th century. Tall, single-span round-arched bridge over the Black Devon with curved approaches. Squared and coursed rock-faced masonry. Later concrete coping with metal and concrete parapet.

Statement of Interest

This is tall single-span bridge has a particularly steep round-arched opening and is distinctively constructed in rock-faced masonry. It has a dramatic setting over a steep gorge. Grain mills were situated at this site in the 17th and 18th century.
